Texarkana, Texas – Police Seek Persistent ATM Burglar Who Struck Out Twice. Texarkana law enforcement is actively pursuing an individual who attempted to break into the same ATM machine on two separate occasions last week.
The suspect, caught on surveillance footage, was first spotted last Tuesday relentlessly attacking the ATM with a pickaxe and sledgehammer, but his efforts proved futile as the machine remained unyielding.
Undeterred, the suspect made a return to the New Boston Road location on Thursday, armed with a hammer and a screwdriver, yet still failed to force open the ATM.
The Texarkana Police Department humorously likened the suspect to an aspiring baseball player who keeps striking out in his attempts.
