Shreveport, LA – Shreveport’s Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an individual involved in two separate hit-and-run incidents on the police station’s parking lot, which took place on Thursday, August 3rd, 2023.

On that fateful day, an unidentified man was behind the wheel of a black Nissan Titan pickup truck. The man pulled into the parking lot adjacent to the patrol desk at the Shreveport Police Department. After parking in a designated spot, he exited his vehicle and approached the patrol desk entrance.

However, before reaching his destination, he made an abrupt about-face and returned to his vehicle. As he attempted to leave the parking area, he reversed his truck, colliding with another car. The impact prompted him to exit his vehicle and engage in a conversation with the female driver of the vehicle he had just struck.

The woman, apparently seeking assistance from an officer, began walking toward the patrol desk. Seizing this opportunity, the man hastily retreated to his truck, maneuvered it over a curb, and collided with an unmarked police car. Following this second collision, he hastily departed the scene, driving eastbound on Texas Avenue.

Shreveport Police Department investigators are now appealing to the community for information that could lead to the identification of the driver involved in these hit and run incidents. Anyone with relevant information is encouraged to contact Shreveport Police at 318-673-7300, extension #3.
