LAKE CHARLES – A shooting incident unfolded at a Lake Charles party on Saturday night, resulting in six teenagers sustaining gunshot wounds, according to officials.
The Calcasieu Sheriff’s Office provided the following details:
Late last night, around midnight, deputies from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to an address on Bruce Drive in Lake Charles in response to a shooting incident.
Upon their arrival, deputies were informed that several individuals had been injured due to gunshot wounds. Preliminary investigations revealed that a party was underway at the residence when a physical altercation erupted. At some point during the altercation, a firearm was introduced, resulting in six people being shot.
