CADDO PARISH, Louisiana – Caddo Parish Sheriff’s deputies are currently at the scene of a train derailment that occurred in Rodessa, according to reports by KTAL/KMSS.
The CPSO was alerted to the incident at approximately 6 a.m., prompting a swift response from deputies to the KCS derailment site situated on the north end of Caddo Parish.
Caddo Fire District 8 also swiftly arrived at the scene and has confirmed that no injuries have been reported, and there are no hazardous materials spilled as a consequence of the derailment.
While all lanes on Highway 1 north remain open, motorists are urged to exercise caution when passing through the area, as CPSO deputies are actively engaged in traffic management. A road closure has been reported at the Standard Oil Road railroad crossing.
