RODESSA, La. – The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office has announced the closure of both northbound and southbound lanes on State Highway 1 due to heavy machinery being utilized at the scene of a train derailment. Motorists traveling north of the derailment site are being redirected to United Gas Company Road 3, while those traveling south are advised to take Rodessa State-Line Road.
The train derailment incident, involving a KCS (Kansas City Southern) train, was initially reported at approximately 6 a.m. today. Authorities are actively working to address the situation and ensure the safety of all affected areas.
