The Shreveport Police Department (SPD) revealed the initiation of its drone program on Friday.
Back in 2016, the City of Shreveport Government’s Community Development Division successfully acquired a grant, enabling the Shreveport Police Department to acquire drones for their operations.
The primary aim of deploying these drones is to bolster public safety across the city.
Heading the efforts to establish and launch the program are Lt. Dean Willis, Sergeant Mike Jones, Sergeant John Jackson, and Corporal Carlos Glass-Bradley.
