Shreveport fire officials are investigating a fire that broke out in the Highland neighborhood early Saturday morning.
The fire was reported around 3 a.m. on College Street, near Coty Street and Gilbert Drive. The flames were visible from several blocks away.
It is unclear what sparked the fire, what type of building was involved, or if anyone was injured. The fire department has not released any information on the incident yet.
More than 17 fire units responded to the scene, according to the fire department’s website. They worked to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to nearby structures.
