SHREVEPORT, Louisiana – In the early hours of Friday, a devastating incident unfolded in Shreveport, Louisiana, resulting in the death of a 19-year-old man. The Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office has identified the victim as Deangelo Little.

According to the official report, the tragedy occurred just before 1 a.m. in Little’s home located in the 300 block of East 72nd Street. Little suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head. Emergency responders rushed him to Ochsner LSU Health, where, despite the best efforts of medical personnel, he was pronounced dead at 2:16 a.m.

This incident adds to the growing tally of violence in the area, marking it as the 77th death in Caddo Parish and the 72nd in Shreveport for the year 2023. The alarming frequency of such incidents highlights a concerning trend in the region, raising questions about public safety and law enforcement responses.
